TEC Conference Brings IT

June 22, 2015

Texas Electric Cooperative’s ninth annual Information Technology Conference delivered educational content and networking opportunities to a record number of IT professionals and vendors in attendance from across the state.

“We continue to build momentum every year, and this year was no different,” said TEC IT Manager David Painter.

“Our steering committee did a great job of coming up with relevant topics, presenters and vendors to showcase their products to our members.”

The IT Conference is one of TEC’s newest annual conferences, and this year’s event June 15–17 brought together 35 professionals and nine vendors for an engaging program.

Topics and discussions covered cybercrime; virtualization; network configurations; communications, operations and implementation from a generation and transmission cooperative perspective; advanced metering infrastructure; and cloud storage.
