TEC Board Visits With Texas Comptroller

April 8, 2016

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Glenn Hegar discussed the Texas economy and government revenue when he spoke to the Texas Electric Cooperatives Board of Directors on April 6 at the regular board meeting.

The primary duties of the comptroller, an elected position, are to collect tax revenue owed to the state and certify to the Texas Legislature the amount of available cash on hand and anticipated revenues for the next biennium.

Hegar is a longtime supporter of electric cooperatives, dating to his time in the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate.
