Comanche EC Forms Alliance With TEC

January 2, 2018

TEC and Comanche EC’s board of directors, announced an agreement in December that brings seven counties into the group of areas already served by TEC alliance partnerships.

“Comanche Electric Cooperative is built on the power of the cooperative,” said Alan Lesley, CECA general manager. “Through the alliance partnership with TEC, we look forward to taking the power of the cooperative to the next level for our members.”

Strengthening Texas cooperatives in today’s competitive market is at the heart of the alliance partnership initiative for TEC, which includes 22 alliance partnerships.

While TEC provides members with many valuable services, the alliance supply model is especially notable because it immediately reduces operational and redundant costs, benefiting each cooperative’s bottom line. Leveraging the aggregation and scale that alliance partnerships make possible, TEC makes available high-quality products from leading manufacturers at competitive prices. TEC is proud to be able to pass those savings on to its member cooperatives.

“Every new alliance strengthens and improves our negotiating power,” said Johnny Andrews, chief operating officer of TEC Manufacturing & Distribution Services. “It’s good for individual cooperatives, and it’s good for Texas cooperatives as a whole.”
