The TEC Board of Directors has established the following policy:
The decision to sponsor the Government-in-Action Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., shall be made on the basis of written commitments from TEC member-systems received by January 1 of each year. Those systems, which form a basis of announcing the tour by virtue of such written commitments, shall be liable for a prorata share of the transportation cost only, applicable to the number of participants committed, in the event that no one is sent. Privately sponsored participants will be accepted on a space-available basis and are subject to the same liability unless written cancellation is received no later than March 16, 2012.
 
Yes,   Electric Cooperative will participate in the 2012 Government-in-Action Youth Tour.
 
We will sponsor (number) youths on the tour at $2,250 per participant.
(The number should include the total of cooperative-sponsored youths.)
 

Sponsor fee covers airfare, transportation while in Washington, hotel rooms, food cost, entrance into many of the sites and YT T-shirts. This fee covers nine full days of activities.

We understand that this constitutes a firm liability for transportation cost in the event we are unable to participate after the sponsorship of the tour has been confirmed.
