I get my electricity from a co-op but I am not receiving the magazine. Why?
There are 65 distribution cooperatives in Texas and 62 of those subscribe to the magazine. Others use newsletters and bill stuffers to communicate news and information to their members.
If you are interested in the magazine, give us a call (512) 486-6241 and we'll send you a complimentary issue. Then, if you like it, you can subscribe to the magazine yourself. (You can also drop your co-op a line and tell them you enjoy the magazine and think it'd be great if they started subscribing. They, like us, welcome any suggestions and comments from their consumers.)
I am receiving multiple copies of the magazine.
I only want one. What do I do?
The mailing labels for Texas Co-op Power (TCP) are generated
from the electric consumer billing masters from your
co-op. If you have more than one meter or more than
one account with the co-op, chances are you are receiving
multiple copies of the magazine.
The easiest way to remedy this situation is to cut
off the labels from the extra magazines you do not
want, affix them to a sheet of paper, and mail them
to your local co-op with a note requesting that those
addresses be taken off the TCP mailing list.
You can also contact your co-op and ask them to send you only one issue of the magazine.
If you are a member of more than one co-op, you might elect to continue receiving multiple copies since each edition is unique to a particular co-op and could contain vital member information.
How can I change my address?
Since the mailing labels are generated directly
from the electric bill masters, your address should
change for Texas Co-op Power when your electric bill
address changes. After a few months, if your magazine
is still going to the wrong address, contact your
local co-op.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you are dissatisfied with the magazine and no
longer want to receive it, please cut your mailing
label off the front cover and mail it to your local
co-op (not Texas Electric Cooperatives or Texas Co-op Power) with a note
requesting removal from our mailing list.
You can also contact your co-op and ask them to cancel your subscription.
