An important function of the Government Relations Department is to represent co-ops interest before the Texas Legislature and various regulatory agencies. This mean informing and educating legislators and their staffs about cooperatives.
During legislative session years, our Government Relations team coordinates the electric cooperative legislative program. They also plan and execute the Legislative Rally, which brings cooperative leaders from around the state to the Capitol to update members on issues and for them to visit with their elected officials.
