TEC Manufacturing & Distribution Services Hits $200 Million Milestone

TEC Manufacturing & Distribution Services hit a major milestone in December, surpassing $200 million in revenue for the year—a first for the association’s sourcing, supply and manufacturing division. MDS first reached $1 million in annual revenue in 2001 and eclipsed $100 million for the first time in 2008.
“This new mark is significant because it shows that our customers and member-owners recognize the value MDS provides to their cooperatives,” said Johnny Andrews, TEC chief operating officer.
To support the growth, MDS has implemented 24-hour operations five days a week at its Georgetown hub. The change provides for customer support at all hours, streamlined warehouse operations and expanded emergency response capabilities.
“Expanded hours reflect our commitment to providing best-in-class customer service and maximizing efficiency,” Andrews said.
