Conference Inspires Success

More than 80 professionals gathered in San Antonio for the TEC Human Resources and Administrative Professionals Conference on May 7–9. Acknowledging the significant overlap of duties in these two areas at many co-ops, this year's conferences were combined to allow attendees to participate in content most beneficial to them. The format was a big hit, according to post-conference survey results.

Labor relations, insurance, wellness, performance coaching and appraisals, co-op history, a notary update, partnering with your boss and mobile-device management were among the educational sessions at the conference.

A presentation by Pamela Taylor, CEO/executive director of Dress for Success San Antonio, which helps women find and keep jobs and rebuild their lives, highlighted the event. Conference attendees donated job interview appropriate clothing, accessories and money to the program.

The 2014 Human Resources and Administrative Professionals Conference is scheduled for May 20–22 in Austin.
